Located in the village of Grobišče, Smrekar Homestead has been bringing people together for more than a century. Guests are treated to homemade platters and dishes prepared with organically produced meat from the indigenous Cika cattle breed, a selection of cheeses, quail eggs, and bread baked in a traditional wood-fired oven, all accompanied by a fine choice of drinks. The beautifully restored barn provides a charming setting for homemade lunches, birthday celebrations, business meetings, and cultural events.
Several years ago, Smrekar Homestead embraced organic farming. Today, the family grows cereals, field crops, and a variety of fruit on its land, while black-belted pigs, Cika cattle, and goats graze in the farm’s pastures. Everything they grow and raise becomes part of the culinary experience they proudly offer their guests.
Smrekar Homestead is open exclusively to pre-booked groups and private events.
