The trail begins at Tito’s Square in Postojna and initially follows paved roads. It gradually climbs through the streets of Postojna before crossing the bridge over the motorway. The route then continues along a gravel road and passes through an underpass beneath the railway. From there, it leads along a forest trail towards Koča Mladika. Along the way, you will cross the main paved road twice before the trail markers guide you back onto a forest path, which leads all the way to the mountain hut.
The walk is short and easy. Once you’re at the top, don’t forget to look for the bell of wishes and make a wish.
Mladika Hut can be reached by car, bicycle, or on foot.
Before setting out, we recommend checking whether the hut is open.
Although this is an easy walking trail, suitable footwear is recommended.
Mladika Hut is also an excellent choice for visitors arriving in Postojna by train, as the starting point is located just a short walk from the railway station.
