At first, it was the seat of the district administration. <\/p>\n<p>In 1928, on the second floor of the building, the speleological institute got its premises, which was advocated by <strong>Ivan Andrej Perko (1876\u20131941)<\/strong>, the first Slovenian professional speleologist and karstologist, and director and great promoter of the Postojna Cave, even before the First World War.
